Obituary of Shirley Barney Shirley Ann Barney, a former waitress at the 84 Diner in Fishkill, passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the Campbell Hall Rehab Center. She was 82. The daughter of the late Malvin W. Wood and Grace Gaudette Wood, she was born November 24, 1935 in North Branch.

She is survived by her children: Andrea Thornton, Clifton Hubbert, Kenneth (Mia) Hubbert, Guy Hubbert, Jeffrey Hubbert and Mark Patterson; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; eight sisters: Fay Mears, Florence Leewe, Jean Molusky, Nancy Eggler, Leona Hunt, Donna Donatelli, Joy Thies and Prudence Robisch; and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Ralph Phil Barney; her son, Andrew Hubbert; and her brother, Lawrence “Arnie” Wood. Family and friends are invited to gather on Tuesday, July 17 from 4:00 to 7:00pm at the VanInwegen-Kenny, Inc. Funeral Home, 111 Sullivan Street in Wurtsboro.
