Sid’s Obituary Sid Miller, age 51 of Athens, departed this life on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Born on December 6, 1967 in Chattanooga, Sid lived a majority of life in McMinn County and was of the Baptist faith. He was employed at Waupaca and enjoyed fishing, spending time outdoors, and most of all spending time with his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother Dottie Ruth Randolph Miller; and grandson Jensen Dakota Jace Cook. Survivors include his wife, Kimberly Hiefnar Miller of Athens; daughters, Courtney (Jared) Suits of Calhoun and Candice Cook of Athens; father, Maynard Miller of Louisiana; grandchildren, Jaylynn Cook and Aliyah Marion; sisters, Dottie (Tracy) Morrow of Dalton, Georgia and Donna (Ernie) Howard of Dalton, Georgia; brother, Maynard Miller of Louisiana; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family. A Gathering of Friends to Celebrate Sid’s life will be held from 2-4p.m. Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Serenity of Etowah Funeral Home.
