Sister Nancy Ann Daniels October 23, 1940 – December 17, 2018 Sister Nancy Daniels died on Monday, December 17, 2018. She was the daughter of William and Nellie (Hysell) Daniels of Wyoming. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Esther Pelzman.

She is survived by her nephews and niece: Rudy, James, Charles, John, and Mary, and cousins. Born October 23, 1940 in Sacramento, California, Sr. Nancy entered the Sisters of Mercy in Auburn, California, in September, 1958. She made her religious profession in August, 1961.

She received her degree in science from the University of San Francisco. Sister Nancy was an educator for 24 years in both elementary and high school, including Mercy High School, Carmichael and Bishop Manogue High School, Sacramento. Later Sister Nancy ministered as an Administrative Assistant (10 years), until she became Care Coordinator for Sisters in Our Lady of Lourdes Care Center (23 years).

In all these ministries, she served with outstanding love and deep empathy for all. Born: October 23, 1940 Death: December 17, 2018 A Vigil Service will be held on Wednesday, December 26, at 4:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Convent Chapel, 535 Sacramento Street, Auburn, California. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Convent Chapel.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Carmichael. Memorials may be made to Sisters of Mercy, 535 Sacramento Street, Auburn, California, 95603.
