Obituary for SMSgt. Loren Hayes, USAF (Ret. ) Loren Hayes, of San Antonio, passed away peacefully on Monday.

He is preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife Margie. Loren is survived by his children, Lori (Lon) Magaro, Connie Amerson, Linda (Richard) Modawell, Randy (Tammy) Hayes, his 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, who will always remember him as a loving father and grandfather. Loren proudly served his country for 22 years.

He traveled the world during his time in the Air Force, and after retirement with his wife. He was known to share a laugh with anyone over tales of his travels. Margie and Loren were very active in the Alzafar Shrine Temple, with Loren being elected Potentate in 2001.

He enjoyed the opportunity to work with children through the Shrine Circus and Shriner’s Hospitals. Services A Full Military Honors and Masonic Memorial Service will begin at 3:00 on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North, 3401 Cherry Ridge Drive. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriner’s Hospitals for Children.
