Soledad Alvarez went to be with her lord on February 1st, 2019. She was born September 8th, 1930 to Tómas and Virginia Alamillo in Zacatecas, Mexico. She spent her youth working hard, helping her mother, and raising her numerous neices and nephews.

In 1949 she became a mother herself, giving birth to her first son, David. In 1958 she met and married the love of her life, Alfonso, and moved to Gary, Indiana. She then gave birth to her second son, Alfonso Junior, in 1968.

In 1974 she and her family moved to Washington state and settled in Mabton. Over the years, she and her husband worked on their farm while enjoying retirement. In 1993 she became a grandmother to her first granddaughter, Courtnee.

In 2002 her first grandson, Thomas, was born, followed by Logan in 2008, and Liberty in 2010. She adored her grandchildren and was always so proud of them. Her joys in life were taking care of her family and making sure their bellies were way too full.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her sons, grandchildren, and many neices and nephews. There will be a closed casket Viewing at Valley Hills on Wednesday, February 6th from 3 to 7 p.m. Her Funeral Service will be held on February 7th, 2019 at 11am at Valley Hills funeral home in Sunnyside.
