OBITUARY Somphet Bounket August 6, 1960 – January 31, 2019 Somphet Bounket, 58, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital. Born on August 6, 1960 in Sayaboury, Laos, he was a son of the late Sengone (Chanthavong) Bounket and Channoy Bounket, who survives. In 1980, he moved from Laos to Fort Wayne.

He left Fort Wayne and moved to Milwaukee for many years. In 2000, he moved back to Fort Wayne and opened his own restaurant, Siam’s Thai. Most recently, he was employed with Brunswick in Fort Wayne for over 10 years.

He was elected President of the Temple, Wat Laos Samakky, for over 5 years. Somphet enjoyed socializing, firing guns at the shooting range, and Green Bay Packer Football. He is also survived by his wife, three children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral Service will be 2pm on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Rd. , Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be from 4-6pm on Friday, February 8, 2019 at Klaehn, Fahl, & Melton Funeral Home.
