Stanley Davis Taylor, 52, of Spencer, passed away on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born June 4, 1966 in Patrick County to Nancy Martin Taylor and the late James Stanley Taylor. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Meagan Taylor.

Stanley enjoyed spending time with his children, playing the guitar, reminiscing on good times, was a history buff, knew the Bible well, was an Atlantic Braves fan, and played in several local bands. He was a graduate of Drewry Mason High School, and a member of Mayo Christian Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughters, Emily Grace Taylor and Cassie Madison Taylor; son, Jacob Stanley Taylor; and sister, Rhonda Taylor White (Jeff).

A graveside service will be held Tuesday, May 7, at 2:00 PM at Mayo Christian Church Cemetery with Brother Ed Hartman and Minister Curt Ashley officiating. Visitation will be held Monday, May 6, 2019 from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Mayo Christian Church. Memorials may be made to Mayo Christian Church Cemetery Fund, 4949 George Taylor Road, Spencer, VA 24165.
