Stanley Richard Rockett, age 73, of Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday June 10, 2018 at Coffee Regional Medical Center following an extended illness. Mr. Rockett was born on January 16, 1945 in Fort Wayne, Indiana the son of Irmgard Koch Rockett and the late Richard Milton Rockett. Mr. Rockett was a self-employed insurance agent with State Farm and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Susan B. Rockett of Douglas, GA; son, Timothy Richard Rockett of Douglas, GA; daughter, Christina Rockett Butler and husband John of Dublin, GA; grandchildren, Clayton Rockett, Grayson Rockett, Mark Butler, Ben Butler and Emily Butler; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday June 14, 2018 at 11am at First Baptist Church with Rev. Shep Johnson officiating.

Interment will follow at Douglas City Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Sims Funeral Home. Sympathy may be expressed by signing the online registry at wwwsimsfuneralhome.com.
