Dr. Stephanie Marie Hightower was born September 8, 1974 to John H. & Lorraine Hightower. She was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Hightower received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Xavier University.

She later graduated from Meharry Medical College, in Nashville, and received her medical training in Family Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) Medical School Center, Huntsville Campus. Dr. Hightower was a member of Delta Sigma Theta, Sorority Incorporated. Dr. Stephanie Hightower is preceded in death by her grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Willie Pickens and Mr. & Mrs. John Hightower, Sr

She leaves to cherish fond memories to: her devoted parents, John & Lorraine Hightower; sister, Janelle Hightower Dunn; niece, Jayla Hightower; nephews, Jackson Dunn & Jonathan Dunn, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, colleagues, friends, and sorority sisters. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, July 7th at 12:00 p.m. at Groveland Baptist Church, 5437 5th Avenue South, Birmingham 35212.
