Stephen Claire Willson – 74 of Elmo, UT also known as “Killer Dog” or “Farmer” in his professional circles went to the big machine shop in the sky on Saturday, May 26th, 2018. Steve was born July 14, 1943 in Provo, UT. His family moved to Elmo when he was almost one year old and he would live most of his life there.

He married “the most wonderful and most beautiful woman in the world” Retta Carlene Tippets in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple for time and all eternity on August 28, 1964. Together they welcomed 7 children: Wendy (Dale), Brent (Anne), Travis (Penny), Melanie (Jeff), Tyler (Emily), Trenton (Erin) and Lenny (Connie) into the world, 31 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. His reunion was sweet with his parents, Clarence and Rinda Rowley Willson, his mother and father-in-law Ray and Edna Tippets, his brother Clifton (Mickey), and sister Carma (Jack), 6 other in-laws and his grandson Victor.

Steve was a master machinist for over 55 years of his life and mentored hundreds of people and finally retired in 2013. His sense of humor was evident in his standard reply to the question: “How are you doing? ” He’d say, “I’m fat and ugly, but other than that I’m doin’ alright”.

He loved to tease, which was a token of love. He loved to scare the medical staff by yelling: “Ouch! ” for even the smallest procedure.

He was a friend to the friendless and stood up for the defenseless. Going for rides was his favorite pastime, and he would generally choose the destination by saying: “Hey I wonder where that road goes? ” …which led to many amazing discoveries.

Services will be held Monday, June 4th, 2018 at the Elmo ward cultural hall with a viewing, from 9:00-10:30, a graveside service from 11:30-12:00, and a celebration of life from 12:30-4:00 PM. Instead of flowers he requested that money be donated to your local Boy Scouts or youth programs of your church. Dad, Steve, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, Killer Dog, Farmer, Friend – you will be missed.

Heaven will be a happier place now that you are there. Family and friends may sign the online guestbook and share memories of Stephen at www. fausettmortuary.com.
