OBITUARY Stephen Douglas Corriher February 25, 1946 – October 9, 2018 Mr. Stephen Douglas Corriher, 72 of China Grove passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at CHS-Northeast/Atrium Health. Mr. Corriher was born on February 25, 1946 in Iredell County, NC. He was the son of the late Harry Pressley and Edith Beard Corriher.

His brothers, Harry Pressley Corriher, Jr. and Jeff Corriher, also preceded him in death. Steve was a 1964 graduate of South Rowan High School and graduated from Catawba College in 1968. He served his country in the United States Navy as a Naval Aviator, where he flew A4 jets.

He enjoyed woodworking and cooking and particularly enjoyed feeding crowds both large and small. He was a past member of China Grove Rotary Club and was currently a member of the China Grove Civitan Club. He was also a lifelong member of Mt.

Zion United Church of Christ where he served in many capacities. Steve was the owner and operator of Great Oaks Cabinet Shop. Those left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Dana Corriher Vaughn (Chris) and Beth Corriher Craft (Matthew); a brother, John Corriher and his sister, Jan Kelly.

Also surviving him are his grandchildren; Kaila Craft, and Simeon and Caldwell Vaughn, and loving friend, Phyllis Strawn. A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Corriher will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:00a.m. at Mt. Zion United Church of Christ with the Rev.

Mark Burns officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at 11:00a.m. in the Family Life Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the scholarship fund or new building fund at Mt.

Zion United Church of Christ, P.O. Box 1298, China Grove, NC 28023. Linn-Honeycutt Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Corriher. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.
