Obituary for Stephen J. Sokol Print Stephen J. Sokol, 58, passed away on Wednesday, January 30, 2019. He was born in Meriden on May 7, 1960 to the late Stephen Sokol Jr. and Barbara (Lynes) Sokol. Stephen graduated from Maloney High School, class of 1978.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from UCONN, class of 1982. Stephen was employed by the State of Connecticut Department of Social Services for 34 years. He is survived by his son Austin Sokol and his sister Kim Sokol.

He is also survived by his niece Morgan and nephews, Evan and Jordan. All services are private. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home.
