OBITUARY Stephen Raymond Clark July 29, 1957 – January 13, 2019 Play Tribute Movie Stephen R. Clark, 61, passed away unexpectedly, January 13, 2019, at his home in Old Town. He was born in Hampden, July 29, 1957, the son of Lewis G. and Grace (Emerson) Clark. Stephen attended Hermon schools and obtained his Boiler Technician license from Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute.

He was employed by Champion Stud Mill as well as the University of Maine in the HVAC department. Stephen enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He loved spending time at camp in Sunkhaze.

His most enjoyable memories were spending time with his grandchildren. Stephen was a long time member of the Elks Lodge, BPOE #1287. Stephen is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Janice; two children, Mitzi Goldstein of Summerville, SC and Benn Clark of Bradley; three grandchildren, Emily and Lyndsay Love of Hermon, and Kylie Clark of Old Town; two brothers, Dick Emerson and wife, Lois of Hermon and Robert Clark and wife Sandra of Glenburn.

He is also survived by his mother in law and father in law, Allen and Sheila Deabay of Bangor; his in laws, Emery and Marie Deabay of Bucksport, Ann Deabay of Bangor, Dawn and Rick Hester of Lewiston, Nancy Whitney of Hermon, David Deabay of Bangor; as well as many nieces and nephews. Stephen was predeceased by his parents. Relatives and friends are invited to call 4-5:30 pm, Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, with the Elks performing a service at 5:30 and a brief memorial service to follow.

Those who wish to remember Stephen in a special way may make gifts in his memory to a special fund for his granddaughter, Kylie Clark, future college expenses at Seaboard Federal Credit Union Attn Janice Clark 2410 Route 2 Hermon, ME 04401 or a charity of one’s choice.
