Stephen M. “Red” Harda, 64, went to join the Lord on May 1, 2019, at West Penn Hospital. He was born September 13, 1954 in Steubenville. Red was preceded in death by his father, Frank J. Harda, Sr.; his wives, Lynn (Thrash) Harda and Linda (Milano) Harda, and one daughter, Jessica Harda.

He is survived by his partner Joann Hast; his mother, Irene K. Harda; one son, Nicholas Harda of Columbus; a sister, Margie (Tom) Wilson of Steubenville, and a brother, Frank (Carol) Harda, Jr. of Canterbury, Connecticut; nephews, Andrew Wilson of Columbus, and Matthew (Sarah) Wilson of Steubenville; nieces Lilli Wilson of Steubenville, and Chelsea, Caitlyn, and Crystal Harda of Connecticut Red was Catholic by faith. He went to the former Holy Rosary Grade School and graduated from Catholic Central High School Class of 1972. He attended Jefferson Technical College and played basketball there.

Stephen retired from Weirton Steel as a crane operator and a member of the Weirton Steel 25 year club. He enjoyed playing golf and was a fierce Notre Dame fan. Calling hours are Tuesday 3-7 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd.

Steubenville. A funeral liturgy with mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (everyone please meet at the church). Entombment will be at Mt.
