OBITUARY Sterling “Butch” Paul Landry Jr. January 16, 1941 – January 14, 2019 Sterling Paul “Butch” Landry, Jr. entered peacefully into heaven on Monday, January 14, 2019, after a brief illness. He was surrounded by his loving family. Devoted husband of the late Patricia Ann Wilson Landry.

Loving father of Pamela Landry Caravella (Joseph “Chris”) and Sterling Paul “Little Butch” Landry, III (Dalis). A proud grandfather of Bryce Landry (Nina), George Caravella (Dorie), Elizabeth “Libby” Rosenthal (Steven) and Joseph Caravella. Son of the late Annie Marisco Landry and Sterling Paul Landry, Sr. Brother of Craig J. Landry (Joann) and the late Art P. Landry.

He is also survived by his sister-in-law Linda Landry, numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Age 77, a native of Gretna, Louisiana and a lifelong resident of Bridge City, Louisiana. “Butch” served his country in the United States Marine Corp in Okinawa, Japan; he retired from Avondale Ship Yard after 30 years of service.

He also was a member of the Bridge City Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed playing pool, traveling, fishing, hunting, dancing, working out at home but mostly spending time with his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 5101 Westbank Expy.

, Marrero, LA on Friday, January 18, 2019, at 1:00 pm. Visitation beginning 9:00 am until Mass time. Interment at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum in Westwego, LA.
