Obituary for Steve Starr Steven Edward Starr August 19, 1963 – April 7, 2018 Steve Starr passed from this life on Saturday, April 7, 2018. A longtime resident of Henryetta, OK, he was born in Dallas, TX on August 19, 1963 to his parents Jimmie and Christine Starr. A really great artist, gardener and carpenter our brother leaves an impact on all of the lives he ever touched.

His smile and sweet heart will forever be a part of us each and every day. Steve is Preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Starr, His paternal grandparents, Eliza Starr and Lincoln Starr, all longtime residents of Henryetta and Wilson areas. His brother, Rocky Gourley of Henryetta.

His maternal grandmother, Jewel Sterling of Henryetta. Aunts, Evelyn Spake, and Annie Tamplin, along with cousins, Brenda Dobson, Helen Butler, and David “Chebon” Birdcreek. Steve is survived by his mother, Christine Starr, brothers, Mike Starr & his wife Kim and Ricky Gourley & his wife Ladora Gourley, sister, Sherri Starr, his longtime partner Judy Maldonado, three children, 5 grandchildren, 7 nieces, 2 nephews.

A brother with the heart of a true warrior. Steve was brave, strong and a fighter. Throughout his life as he faced many trials, upon his death he found freedom and peace in the loving arms of Jesus as his Lord and Savior.

Our Love is eternal and will never die because of a bond that even death cannot sever. Funeral service will be held Saturday, April 14th. Visitation begins at 8am, Saturday, April 14,2018 with service to follow at 1pm at the Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.
