Steven D. “Steve” Sapp, 52, of Moberly, died Saturday, June 23, 2018 at his home. He was born September 24, 1965 in Columbia, MO to Norman Glenn and Mary “Ellen” (Maupin) Sapp. Steve lived in Columbia and Joplin in earlier years but has lived in Moberly for the past two decades.

Survivors include his children; Brett Sapp, Kelea Sapp, Tanner Sapp, Brennan Sapp and Jade Sapp all of Moberly, six grandchildren; Candace, Destiney, Ashlynn, Karagan, Addie and Addison Sapp all of Moberly, his mother, Ellen Martin of Lake of the Ozarks, a brother, Glenn Sapp and his wife Jeana of Joplin, MO, three sisters; Debbie Vaughn and her husband Ron of Columbia, Elaine Rand and her husband Dale and Grace Jackson and her husband Mark all of Joplin, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Steve loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Steve enjoyed traveling and had a special place in his heart for Florida. He also had a passion for fishing, cars and fixing anything he could get his hands on. Per his request, cremation with care, a service of Cater Funeral Home will be held.

There will be a private scattering in the ocean at a later date.
