Anna (Livengood) Kinder, 90, of Moberly, passed away peacefully at her home on February 2, 2019 surrounded by her family. She was born December 2, 1928 in St. Louis, MO to Robert and Millie (Taft) Livengood. Anna attended Southwest Baptist College in Bolivar and Kirksville Missouri State University and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Ft.

Worth, TX. Prior to retirement in 1990, Anna taught school for 21 years in Holliday, MO, serving 15 of those years as Principal. Anna married Roy Kinder on June 5, 1948 and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2005.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, a son Steve Kinder, daughter-in-law, Patricia Kinder, three grandchildren, David, Paul and Johnathan, six brothers, five sisters, five half brothers and sisters. Survivors include her children; Sam Kinder of Mexico, MO, Beverly Kinder of Kansas City, MO, David Kinder and his wife Tonja of Moberly and Jim Kinder and his wife Angie of Lee’s Summit, MO, 11 grandchildren; Brian Kinder, Scott Kinder and his wife Samantha, Carissa Keen and her husband Bill, Kathryn Mcintosh and her husband Dusty, Jeffrey, KeAnna, Karrlana and Jarrett Kinder, Sarah White and her husband Herschel, Aaron and Rachel Kinder, four great-grandchildren, Bailey Johnson, Kimberly Knight, Emma Hribovsek and Lily Mcintosh and one great-great- granddaughter, Opal Dunkerson, daughter-in-law, Hazel Kinder, brother-in-law, Lamoine Kinder and his wife Delphine of Murphysboro, IL, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Anna served alongside her husband who was a minister for 55 years.

In 1988 she was awarded the Life Service Award from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO, for having lived an exemplary Christian life, outstanding in her service and making significant contributions to mankind. Anna was a member of WMU and the retired teachers association. She was a Sunday school teacher and assistant camp director for Mt.

Zion Summer Camp. Anna enjoyed traveling and playing piano; her greatest joy was getting together with her family throughout the year. She and her husband were very devoted to missionary work; they would travel across the United States, establishing and repairing churches.

In the mid-1950s they travelled to Rolla, MO to grow a small mission that later became the thriving Salem Avenue Baptist Church. Roy and Anna also did missionary work in Russia, helping to build and establish a church in Belarus, Russia. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

Memorial Contributions to the First Baptist Church would be appreciated. Words of comfort and support may be shared with the family at the visitation, which will be Tuesday, February 5, 2019; 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Cater Funeral Home. Services honoring and celebrating Anna’s life will be Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Cater Funeral Home Chapel.

Committal prayers and burial will follow in the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery, Jacksonville,MO.
