Steven E. Tobias, 49, of Carbondale, IL, formerly of Teutopolis, IL and Effingham, IL, passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019, at 8:54 a.m., at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale, Carbondale, IL. Graveside Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro, IL. Rev.

Ralph Ward, Hillsboro, IL, will officiate. Cremation rites were accorded. Mr. Tobias was born on December 23, 1969 in Mattoon, IL, to Richard and the late Audrey (Bellaver) Tobias.

He attended Teutopolis High School, Teutopolis, IL. Mr. Tobias is survived by his father, Richard Tobias, in Hillsboro, IL, his step-mother, Rhonda Tobias, in Effingham, IL; a brother, Rob Tobias, of Champaign, IL; and two sisters, Wendy McClure of St. Charles, MO and Sarah McConnell of Shelbyville, IL; and nephew, T. Kayne McConnell of Shelbyville, IL; and nieces, Audrey Jane McClure of St. Charles, MO, and Kinley Ann McConnell of Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.
