Obituary for Steven M. Hager Steven M. Hager, 47, of Big Ugly, WV devoted father, passed away October 4, 2018. He was born February 8, 1971 in Madison, WV, a son of the late Max and Patricia Hager of Six Mile. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his daughter, Savannah Hager; and brother, Joey Hager.

Steve was a retired coal miner from Long Branch Energy and was a member of the UMWA. He had 21 years of service. His favorite things were spending time with his family, friends and dog Trixie.

He also enjoyed spending time outdoors. Steve is survived by what he considered his two greatest accomplishments: daughter, Hayley Hager of Madison, WV and son, Timothy (Dylan) Hager of Big Ugly; sister, Tammera (David) Hager of Six Mile; brothers, Tim (Betsy) Hager of Six Mile, and David (Nancy) Hager of Low Gap. Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, October 6 at Handley Funeral Home, Danville with Ginger Dials officiating.
