OBITUARY Suetta Painter March 10, 1938 – October 7, 2018 Waynesville-Suetta Piker Painter, 80, died on Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Mission Hospital-Memorial Campus. Suetta was born in Rochester, NY on March 10, 1938, to the late James and Roberta Tharp Piker. She was a volunteer with the Senior Center of Waynesville.

Some of her special work was with Project Lifesaver which provides transmitter bracelets for Alzheimer’s patients or other impairment which may cause them to wander. Suetta will be remembered for her love of animals and especially her love for family. Suetta is survived by her husband of 43 years, David Painter; a son, William Rockow, Jr. (Michele), of Rochester, NY; three daughters, Barbara Miller and Julie Flock, both of Reno, NV, and Vikki Vose (Larry), of Wayland, NY; a sister, Jacqueline Johnson (Thomas) of Rochester, NY; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Memorial services are planned for a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to The Star Ranch, Horse Sanctuary at 970 Rabbit Skin Rd, Waynesville, NC 28785 or the SARGES Animal Rescue Foundation at 256 Industrial Park Dr. Waynesville, NC 28786.
