Sun was born in Korea on March 3, 1953 to the late Yong Un Kim and Chae Im Yi. She owned her own Handbag business and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Fayetteville Korean Baptist Church.

She is survived by he husband, Richard Paul Cyr of the home; 2 daughter, Michele Kim Cyr of Charlotte and Katheryn Sue Cyr of Baltimore, MD. ; a sister, Sun Cha Kim of Korea. Visitation will be 6:00 PM 8:00 PM Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Lafayette Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 6:00 PM Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Fayetteville Korean Baptist Church, 6873 Cliffdale Rd. Fayetteville, NC 28314 with pastor Stanley Hyon officiating. Burial will be 2:30 PM Thursday, September 27, 2018 in Forest Lawn East Cemetery, 3700 Forest Lawn Dr. Matthews, NC 28104.
