Susan Smith Parco, April 16, 1963 — December 05, 2018

Obituary for Susan Smith Parco Susan was the daughter of Shirley and Gordon Smith. She was born in Saginaw Michigan April 15, 1963. Her first 4 years were lived in St. Charles Michigan.

In 1968 the family moved to Alma, Michigan. The first year in Alma, Sue attended nursery school; in 1969 She started kindergarten at Pine Ave. Elementary.

During her High School years she participated in swimming, cheer leading, she was a flag girl with the school band. Her senior year at Alma High she was on the Homecoming Court and worked on Co-op at the Alma Police Department. She graduated from Alma High School in 1981.

The following year she enrolled at Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. At Central she majored in Interior Design and was a member of the Tri Sigma Sorority.

After graduation she moved to Denver, Co. and lived with her lifelong friend Susan Marzolf. Sue secured her first full time job with an interior decorating firm, got married and worked there until she became the mother of her first child; Amanda. Her two boys, Jonathan & Samuel soon followed and in early 2000 the family moved to Medford, Oregon.

After separating from Paul Gerlick, Sue and the boys moved to Redding, Ca. to be near her parents and family. The next chapter of her life began in 2012 when she met her husband Tony Parco.

They were together until her death on December 05, 2018. She is survived by her mother and father, Shirley and Gordon Smith, her 3 children Amanda (Matt), Jonathan and Samuel, her two brothers Eric and Bradley Smith and her husband Cosimo (Tony) Parco, her partner for the last six and half years. Susan had an incredible ability to make you feel welcomed and loved, no matter who you were.
