No formal service will be held. Ms. Bateman was born July 9, 1939 to the late Leon Labrie and Elizabeth Maguire Labrie in Boston, Mass.

She was Librarian and was in retail sales. She is survived by her son, Steve Bateman of Doerun; daughter, Marni Kirkland and husband Tony of Moultrie; sister, Cathy Hoover of Toronto Canada; grandchildren Colin Kirkland, Coy Kirkland and Caison Kirkland. Arrangements have been entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
