Services for Swede Hamilton, 87, of Lucas will be Friday, February 15, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Chariton. Family will receive friends on Thursday, evening from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the ALS Association or the Lacona American Legion Post #0426.

Swede is survived by his wife Shirley; children: Rick (Sharon) Hamilton, Donnie (Ann) Hamilton, Kayla (Elmer) Kolnes, Vickie (Bob) Hale, and CJ (Linda) Hamilton; 28 grandchildren; and 56 great grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings: Lorna Wright, Alberta Ruble, and Benny (Sarah) Hamilton; and many relatives and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents: Clarence and Elsie Hamilton; daughter, Cheryl Hamilton-Kurimski; and siblings: Leo Hamilton, Lila Schaefer, Jerry Hamilton, and Karl Hamilton.
