Sylvia Jean (Brannum) Neal, age 79, of Pickett Care and Rehab in Byrdstown, TN passed away on Friday, February 1st at the Pickett Care & Rehab. Ms. Neal was born June 24th, 1938 in Byrdstown, TN to the late Samuel Coy Brannum and Ada Pauline (Jones) Brannum, She was a member of Smyrna Church, a factory employee in the garment industry, a dedicated homemaker and mother. Sylvia is survived by (1) Son: Jeff Neal; (1) Daughter: Jo Ann McWhorter; (8) Sisters: Betty Dodson, Joy Lovell, Violet Freel, Teresa Melek, Jenny Gunter, Cathy & Lynn Choate and Vickie Stockton; (3) Brothers: James, Michael & Ernest Brannum; (6) Grandchildren: Matthew McWhorter, Satisha Smith, Brandy Neal, Jason Neal, Dawson Neal & Ashley McWhorter; (12) Great-Grandchildren; (4) Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Ms. Neal was preceded in death by her Parents: Samuel and Ada Pauline (Jones) Brannum; (1) Brother: Howard Glenn “Ricky” Brannum; (1) Son-In-Law: Max McWhorter; (1) Daughter-In-Law: Laura Neal. Also preceded in death by the father of her children, Joe Carson Neal. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday February 5 at 10:00 A.M. from Brown Funeral Chapel with Bro.
