Sylvia Moskowitz Jordan passed away March 10, 2019 in Sarasota, Florida. Her son Rich and daughter-in-law Rhonda were at her side. Sylvia was the last of the Moskowitz family of Bangor, Michigan.

The family founded the Moskowitz Stores of Fennville and Bangor. The stores were well known and successful for over 50 years. Sylvia was the youngest of the seven children of Louis and Eva Moskowitz.

She was preceded in death by sisters Ida, Lily, Rose, and Francis and by her brother Max and Benny. Her husband of 62 years, Ruben “Tuffy” Jordan passed in 2009. Sylvia turned 91 on March 2 of this year and was honored by her three grandchildren and six great grandchildren at a party in Sarasota.

Sylvia made many friends and loyal customers during her years in Fennville. Her ethical business practices and sense of style made the Moskowitz Store in Fennville a long-time shopping destination. Sylvia’s kind words and wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all those fortunate enough to know her.

In lieu of flowers, Sylvia requested that donations be made to the Fennville High School Athletic Department.
