Tawannah’s Obituary Tawannah Guest Graveside services for Tawannah Jo Lollar (TJ) Guest, 84, of Tulsa, formerly of Ada are 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Rosedale Cemetery in Ada. Mrs. Guest passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at an Oklahoma City hospital. She was born February 3, 1934 in Ada to C. Raymond and Minta Lee Rushing Lollar.

She attended Jones Chapel and Willard grade schools and graduated from Ada High School in 1952. She also attended East Central University. She married Dariel Lane Davis in 1952 at Ada.

He served in the U. S. Air Force and was killed in action in Korea on January 13, 1953. She later married Glen Thomas Guest in 1954. He preceded her in death March 16, 1985.

Mrs. Guest began her business career working at Witherspoon Finance while still in high school. Following nine years of being a “stay-at-home mom” she continued her business career at the Sugg Clinic for many years. She worked her way up the ladder to the position of Sugg Clinic’s Business Manager.

At the end of her business career, she worked as a receptionist for the Pontotoc County Mental Health Services. After retirement, she worked part-time during tax season for her son-in-law’s tax firm in Tulsa. Mrs. Guest was a Baptist until her marriage to Glen Thomas Guest.

She then became a Methodist for the remainder of her life. TJ was an avid reader, bridge player and follower of politics and world events. She enjoyed traveling with family and friends.

She especially enjoyed visits to the Shenandoah National Park, relaxing at the beach, going to NYC to see musicals, attended services at the National Cathedral and trips to Disneyworld. Survivors include her daughters, Deborah Davis Key and husband Ted of Winchester, VA and Janie Guest Abbott and husband Jack of Tulsa; her grandsons, Michael Patrick Key of Fairfax, VA and Stephen Key of Fairfax, VA; her granddaughters, Marci Hardin Zerger and husband Bryan of McKinney, TX, and Mandy Hardin Fair and husband Ryan of Tulsa; her great-granddaughters, Mia and Stella Zerger; and great-grandson, Schaffer Fair. Bearers will be her two sons-in-law, Ted Key and Jack Abbott; two grandsons, Michael Patrick Key and Stephen Key; and two grandsons-in-law, Bryan Zerger and Ryan Fair.
