On November 28th, 2018, Ted Wayne Stull departed this earth-bound life. Ted was born on the 8th Day of December 1927 in Ollie, Iowa to Guy Wayne Stull and Blanche Bernice Brock Stull. He was married to Phyllis Lorraine Haviland, his high school sweetheart.

They were blessed with a marriage of more than 68 years. After graduating from Mt. Pleasant High School, Mt.

Pleasant, Iowa, he enlisted in the Navy V-5 program in May 1945. After testing, he was ordered to report to Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas on September 18, 1945 as an Apprentice Seaman. Ted spent the second year of the V5 program at Iowa Wesleyan College in Mt.

Pleasant, Iowa. He was then promoted to Midshipman on September 9, 1947, and served in the Navy until November 1948. His additional military service included 12 years with the Iowa National Guard during which his unit won the Eisenhower Trophy several times.

He then spent six years with the Texas National Guard in the 49th Armored Division, 2nd Battalion of the 142nd Infantry Headquarters Unit. While working and raising a young family, Ted earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry in 1961 from Iowa Wesleyan University. He then worked 24 years at a combination of the Iowa Ordnance and Atomic Energy Plants both located in Middletown, Iowa.

In May of 1974 he was transferred to the Pantex Plant northeast of Amarillo, Texas where he worked 15 more years until his retirement in 1990. He was preceded in death by his parents, his two sisters Gayle Alene Zickefoose of Camdenton, Missouri and Sherry Sue Thomas of Canõn City, Colorado, and by his brother Bobby Joe Stull, of Lincoln, Nebraska. Survivors include his wife Phyllis, his children Christopher Stull, Kathy Driskill and her husband, David and Kenny Stull and his wife, Kay; 7 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

His main hobbies were gardening, yard, woodwork, and teasing his wife. As he so eloquently stated in his senior yearbook, “There is still light enough left for what I have to do”. Depart, O Christian soul, out of this world; In the Name of God the Father Almighty who created you; In the Name of Jesus Christ who redeemed you; In the Name of the Holy Spirit who sanctifies you.
