Obituary for Teresa Joan Ellis (Edwards) Teresa Joan Ellis, 78 of Eldersburg Died January 6, 2019 at home with her loving family by her side. She was born on March 23, 1940 in Manhattan, New York. She was a homemaker who loved reading, music and travel and most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She worked at several jobs over the years, volunteered many hours at her local church and hospital. She was also a supporter of the Red Cross Blood drive. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Margaret (McNamara) Edwards and sister Catherine Oelsner.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 57 years, George E. Ellis, her sisters Margaret Griffin and Patricia Teixeria and her brothers Robert, Thomas, Charles and Frank. She is the devoted mother of Margaret Pendagast (William), Laura Weir (Glen), Kimberly Kovack (Jerry), Rosemary McDaniel-Hollenbaugh and George Ellis (Hollie). The cherished grandmother of Kaitlin Shaw (Glen), Megan Pendagast, Julia Pendagast, Christopher Weir (Sallie), Stephen Weir, Kelly Weir, Ryan Kovack, Lindsay Kovack, Britaney McDaniel, Taylor Hollenbaugh, Luke Ellis, Blake Sheaffer, Emilee Sheaffer and Lily Sheaffer.
A Funeral Mass will be said on Friday, January 11, 2019 11 AM at St. Joseph’s Catholic Community, 915 Liberty Rd. Eldersburg, MD 21784. Inurnment to follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Marriottsville, MD.
