Terrance’s Obituary On January 9, 2019 Terrance Wray Andrews, prominent petroleum executive, loving husband, and father of three boys passed away at the age of 77 after a short illness. Terry was raised by his parents Royce and Lorraine (Pudge) Andrews in Los Gatos, CA, where he attended Los Gatos High School and San Jose State University. He graduated with a Business Major.
Terry founded and was President of Interstate Oil Company since October 1970 in Sacramento, CA. He started with a small warehouse and delivery truck. He grew the company to where it is today with 7 locations in California and Nevada with over 225 employees.
Terry was active in many Petroleum Associations but always stayed true to his humble beginnings. As a result he has many friends across the country. Terry is a past President of Pacific Oil Conference and the California Independent Oil Jobbers Association.
In 1964 he married the love of his life Laurie and they raised three sons, Greg, Todd, and Brent in Sacramento. Terry was an active family man who loved to see his family on a daily basis if possible. He spent alot of time with them at the family house in Lake Tahoe, and countless camping excursions.
Terry had a passion of elk hunting in Montana, field trials with his English Springer Spaniels, fishing in Alaska and Cabo San Lucas, and traveling with family and friends. He was a long time member of Del Paso Country Club. He was always known for his sense of humor, infectious smile, kind heart and compassionate spirit.
He is survived by his wife Laurie, his three sons Greg, Todd, and Brent. He is also survived by his two daughter-in-laws, Melanie and Ashley, and seven grandchildren– Kylie, Makena, Lexie, Ellie, Lauren, Pierce, and Colette. Terry was preceded in death by parents and his brother Reg.
He will be missed, but not forgotten. A celebration of life will be held on February 1, 2019. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society or Sutter Hospital Sacramento.
