Terrence L. Surmacz age 66 of Manor, formerly of Trafford passed away on Christmas Eve Day, December 24, 2018 at the home of his sister and caregiver Kimberly. Terry was born on August 1, 1952 in Wilkinsburg the son of the late Leo and Elaine (Brodbeck) Surmacz. Terry is survived by his brother Dennis (Val) Surmacz of Penn Twp.

, Mary (Surmacz) Johnson of Weyens Cave VA, Kimberly (Surmacz) Wood of Manor and Michelle (Surmacz) Nichols of Penn Twp. ; and survived by one niece and seven nephews. Terry was a graduate of Trafford High School in 1970, Pittsburgh Technical Institute in 1972, CCAC in 1980, WCCC in 1992 and California University of Pennsylvania in 1994.

Terry began working for Westinghouse in 1973 and worked in various places in various capacities. Terry retired from Thermal Industries in 2014 when he was diagnosed with colon cancer. Terry loved his sports and followed the Pirates, Steelers, and Penguins from an early age.

Many things intrigued him, he music and he loved to read, and was a writer of poetry, which he shared with many people. He was active in youth baseball in the 1970’s and also co-owner of Leo’s Tobacco Store. Terry was a born again Christian which he considered the greatest achievement in his life.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday from 6-8PM and Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM in the John M. Dobrinick Funeral Home, 702 7th Street (State Rt. 130), Trafford, 412-372-3111. Funeral services will be at 11 AM Saturday in the funeral home with Pastor Bob Ross officiating.

Interment will follow in the Penn-Lincoln Memorial Park, N. Huntingdon. www.
