Obituary for Mr. Terrence (Terry) Lamarr Tracy TERRENCE LAMARR TRACY (Terry) July 16, 1929 – June 14, 2018, 88 of Hesperia, CA passed away in his home on Thursday, June 14, 2018 from cardiovascular disease. He was a Vietnam Veteran with 20 years of active duty military service in the Navy and Army. He was awarded the Purple Heart in 1969.

He officially retired from active duty from Fort Irwin in February 1970 as a Staff Sergeant and an honorary “Desert Rat”. After retiring from the military he held various positions until full retirement in 1991. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing at the former Sun & Sky golf course in Barstow, CA.

and later Hesperia Country Club in Hesperia, CA. before he passed away. His favorite subject was history.

He is survived by his wife of 67 plus years, Shirley A. Tracy; his children, T.M. Tracy New Mexico, Jan M. Vuiller, Colorado and Vance L. Tracy, California; sister, Linda (Hurley Swan) Tarlip, Oregon; grandchilren, Julie (Branden) McArthur, Colorado and Jeff Tracy, New York; step grandchild, Leanne McCarthy, Maine; great granchildren, Trent and MaKenzie Vuiller, California, Austen (Colton) Green, and Bailey and Mallory McArthur, Colorado. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity in his name. Mortuary services provided by Kern Mortuary of Hesperia, California.
