Obituary for Terry Smith Mr. Terry E. Smith, age 78, of Murray, Kentucky, died on Friday, September 28, 2018 at the St. Thomas – Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. Mr. Smith was born in Evansville, Indiana on August 23, 1940 to the late Russell and LaRue Smith. Mr. Smith was a retired chemist with ISP in Calvert City, Kentucky and was a member of the University Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by two daughters, Ginny Smith Ropp and husband Loren of Smyrna, Tennessee and Stacey Smith Cayton and husband Brandon of Murray, Kentucky; one son, Jeffrey Smith and wife Vickie of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; seven grandchildren, Kristen Harvey, Lindsay Smith, Collin Smith, Alex Ropp, Matthew Ropp, Kingston D. and Atheina W; as well as one great-grandchild, Nora Grace Harvey. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral home with Charley Bazzell and Richard Youngblood officiating.

Burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home.
