OBITUARY Terry Eugene Gross August 26, 1947 – November 23, 2018 Terry E. Gross, age 71, passed away on November 23rd at Parkwest Medical Center in Knoxville, TN due to complications from a stroke. Terry was born to Willie O. and David O. Gross in Memphis, TN on August 26, 1947. He began his career in retail at Gerber’s Department Store and then Goldsmith’s Department Store in Memphis and continued his career with moves to Kansas City, KS; Dayton, OH; and Charleston, WV.

He and his family moved to Knoxville, TN in 1994 when he was hired by Proffitt’s Department Store. He worked at MS McClellan & Company in Knoxville for twelve years until he retired in 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, David and niece, Wendy Timbs.

Survived by his mother, Opal; his wife of 41 years, Patricia; sons, Nicholas and Matthew; brother, Eddie (Debby); nephew, David (Renee); uncle, Floyd McCullough; brother-in-law, Ray Cannon (Edna); and many extended family members. A memorial service will be held at Memphis Funeral Home on Poplar Avenue on December 15 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
