Obituary for Thaddeus Keen Parrott Thaddeus Keen Parrott, age 35, of Lawrenceville passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at his residence. He was born February 1, 1983 in Vincennes, Indiana, the son of Gregg Parrott and Marcia (Harness) Pratt. Thadd was the owner of TKP Rental & Renovation Company.
He worked for Parrott Real Estate and Auction in Lawrenceville, Illinois. He was currently enrolled at Olney Central College in Olney, Illinois in the welding program. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
He was a 32nd Degree Mason and was member of the Edward Dobbins Masonic Lodge and the Allendale Masonic Lodge and a Shriner. His memberships include Elks, Moose, American Legion and the VFW. He supported Lawrence County 4-H.
He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan, avid reader. He enjoyed participating in Civil War reenactments. He enjoyed attending concerts and debating political issues.
Thadd was known for taking in many stray animals and camping. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Alice Harness and an aunt, Tracy Stevenson.
He is survived by his father, Gregg Parrott and wife Brenda of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois; mother, Marcia Pratt and husband Larry of Lester, Alabama; paternal grandparents, Harmon Parrott of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Ada Parrott of Lawrenceville, Illinois; maternal grandfather, Don Harness of rural Lawrenceville, Illinois; two brothers, Tyler Parrott and wife Jessica of Lawrenceville, Illinois and Zane Parrott and companion Jennifer Jones of Lawrenceville, Illinos; one sister, Emily Verone and husband Alec of Savoy, Illinois; one step-brother, Taylor Christian and friend Kay Wallesverd of Lawrenceville, Illinois; one step-sister, Sarah Steller and husband Pat stationed in England; and nieces and nephews, Mason Parrott, Alice Parrott, Cayden Jones, Cole Jones, Eliott Parrott, Ellen Verone, Jack Christian and William Christian. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral will be Monday, December 17, 2018 at 10:00am at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7:15pm. Burial will be in the Parrott Family Farm Cemetery.
