Thea Hansen-Bettis, 51, of Moline, died Monday, September 17, 2018, at home. Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, September 23, 2018, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1330 13th Street, Moline. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m., Saturday, at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601-38th Avenue, Moline.

Cremation rites will take place following services. Memorials may be made to Winnie’s Place or Churches United. All need to use 60th Street for access to the funeral home.

Thea was born on September 24, 1966, in Moline, the daughter of Ralph W. and Alvina C. (Meyer) Hansen. She married Chad Bettis on February 3, 2007, in Moline. She was most recently employed as the Outreach Director at TPQC-The Project of the Quad Cities.

Thea attended Trinity Lutheran Church in Moline. She was a voracious reader and an avid “foodie”, who loved to try out new restaurants and recipes. She also liked to cook for her family and friends.

Thea loved playing sports as a youth and enjoyed watching the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Cubs, and the Chicago Bears. Above all, Thea will be remembered as a kind, warm, and welcoming person whose home was always open. Survivors include her husband, Chad; sons, Christian (Nicole) Ingram, Moline, and Derek Bettis, Moline; siblings, Richard (Linda) Hansen, Colorado, Gail (Jeff) Gahn, Naperville, IL, David (Siri) Hansen, Roselle, IL, and Dennis (Janet) Hansen, Evergreen Park, IL; several nieces and nephews; and her dogs, Charlotte, Fred, and Jack.

She was preceded in death by her parents. Memories may be shared on the tribute wall.
