Native of Selma, Alabama, long-time resident of Birmingham, and retired Construction Worker and member of Local Union 559. Mr. Fikes will be lovingly missed by his sons, Frank Fikes, Theauthor Fikes, Jr., Andera (LaSonji) Fikes, Antonio (Evelyn Kay) Fikes, Sr., Christopher O’Neal Fikes, Michael Perkins and Lonnie Perkins; daughters, Pamela Fikes, Ivetta (Ron) Fikes and Wanda Fikes; brothers, Spencer (Mary) Fikes and Roosevelt (Virginia) Fikes; 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. Service of memory will be Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM at 23rd Street Baptist Church Ensley (2335 Ave O Ensley 35218) with burial in George Washington Carver Memorial Cemetery.

He will lie in repose on Friday from 12 noon until 7:00 PM at Westside Fairfield Chapel.
