Thelma’s Obituary Thelma Jensen FERRON-You guessed it! Thelma Josephine Jensen, a little old country gal was born smiling and giggling to Ernest and Nellie Davis Jensen on June 27, 1933 in Cleveland, Utah. This sweet gal left her earthly life smiling and giggling just as she promised, into the loving arms of her #1 Cowboy on February 21, 2019.

Mom married Bertley Ray Jensen, her cowboy, on June 30, 1951 in Cleveland, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti Temple on July 27, 1963, making their family eternal. Mom enjoyed every day with Dad, working with horses, in the garden, canning, cooking and talking short trips in the car to check on the water level at the lake and to count the deer in the fields.

They loved spending time together and were seldom apart. Moms love for kids began in 1952 when she began “babysitting” children in her home. She loved each and every child as if they were her own and kept a special place in her heart for the hundreds of kids that were in her care over the span of 43 years.

Mom was well known for her giggle, her positive attitude, sence of humor and keen imagination. She honestly loved people and found it easy to share and express that love to those she served. Mom was also a great mind reader and big story teller.

She was so excited to become a grandparent and share those talents with her grandchildren. She loved them each as her own and spent countless hours entertaining and playing with them. Mom was a great example of faith and she endured to the end the best she could with a smile and good attitude.

She loved the simple joys in life and never wanted for luxury, riches or worldly possessions. As a stalwart member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, she put her full faith and trust in the Lord and never doubted. Through the years she served in callings in the Primary, Sunday School and Relief Society.

She was a faithful visiting teacher and fulfilled successful missions with Dad to Cove Fort and the cannery. Mom is survived by her children, Sid Jensen of Castle Dale, Sheree (Robert) Pollitz of Salt Lake and Adele (Lane) Justice of Ferron, twenty-one grandchildren, 32 great grandchildren, Sister, Wyanna (Ron) World of Cleveland. Reunited with her #1 Cowboy, Bert, Parents Ernest and Nellie Jensen, Sisters Wilda Jones, Beverly Jensen and Sandra Jensen, Baby brother Ernest Jensen, Daughter in law, JoAnn Jensen and grandsons Kevin Peay and Brett Justice.

Funeral service. Monday, 11:00 a.m., February 25, 2019 (her sweet Mothers birthday) at the Millsite Ward Chapel in Ferron. Viewing Sunday evening at the church from 5-7 pm and one hour prior to the services on Monday.

Burial will follow at the Ferron Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are always welcome daily and may share memories online at www. mitchellfuneralhome.net You are our Sunshine Mom, you make us happy even when skies are gray.
