She was born on September 22, 1923 in Princeton, KY, the daughter of the late Henry Hugh “Shorty” and Madeline Nettie Taylor Buckles. She was housewife and mother who enjoyed Facebook, gardening, crocheting, and writing; she was a 1943 graduate of Caneyville High School, a member of the Caneyville Eastern Star and was a member of the Caneyville Christian Church.

She is survived by two sons, Robert (Kathy) Beasley of Auburn, KY and Johnny (Deloris) Beasley of Central City KY, three daughters, Madelyn Kane of Leitchfield, Judy Tilford of Caneyville, KY and Anita Bratcher of Leitchfield, ten grandchildren, Rob and Lee Beasley, Amy Robinson, Michael and Scott Kane, Adam and Ashlee Tilford, Kristin Smith, Laura Cross and Jennifer Cummings, 10 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Robert Lee Beasley, a son, Hugh Wayne Beasley, two sons-in-law, Michael Kane and Billy Tilford, a great grandchild, Lorris Louise Cummings and two brothers, Henry Hugh Buckles Jr and Dr. James R Buckles. Cremation was chosen and a memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (June 1, 2019) at the Gymnasium of the Old Caneyville High School.

Bro. David Brown will be officiating. The family will receive family and friends at the school from 10:00 a.m. Saturday (June 1, 2019) until time of the service.
