Thelma Nadine Thompson, age 75 of Taylorsville passed away at her residence in Taylorsville on May 23, 2019. Born to the late James Franklin and Thelma Caroline Broome. Nadine’s career included working as a school administrator for District 5, Lexington – Richland, South Carolina and Southern Wesley University in South Carolina, at her pleasure she was a choir director, enjoyed cooking, working with flowers, spending time with her grandchild and tutoring for Alexander County Schools.

Nadine also volunteered for the Mobile Café and helped at the Farmer’s Daughter. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years Robert Thompson. Those left to cherish the memories of Ms. Thompson include her son Robert Thompson and wife Debbie of Taylorsville, daughter Stephanie Childes and husband Nathan of San Antonio, Texas, seven grandchildren, two great-grand-children, sister -in-law Edna Broome and husband Frank of Bristol, Tenn.

Along with several nieces and nephews and a host of special friends and extended family. Visitation will be held on May 30, 2019 at Reformation Lutheran Church in Taylorsville from 3:00 pm until 4:15 pm with the funeral service following at 4:30 pm. Cremains will be endured at Reformation Lutheran Church.

The Rev. Craig Sigmon and Rev. John Meisenheimer will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers donations may be given to Luther Ridge, 2049 Upper Laurel Drive Arden, NC 28704, Mobile Cafe’ , Catawba Hospice, 3975 Robinson Road Newton, NC 28658 828. 466. 046 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Alexander Funeral and Cremation Service.
