OBITUARY Theresa E. Coulombe June 22, 1930 – August 30, 2018 Theresa E. Coulombe (Moreau) of Worcester, MA died peacefully at home August 30, 2018 at the age of 88 years. Terry was born in 1930 in Central Falls, RI, the youngest of seven children of Ernest and Eva Moreau (Arsenault). Like many other French Canadian children in town, she grew up speaking French at home and learned English at her local parochial school.

After high school, she worked as a secretary at the YWCA. Through her brother Joe, she was introduced to her future husband, Joe Coulombe, whom she married in 1955. Shortly after the birth of their first daughter Deborah in 1957, Terry and her husband moved to Westland, Michigan, where their children Sandy, Lynne and David were born.

In 1968, she and her family moved to Holden, MA. She worked as the dean’s secretary at UMass Medical Center’s Continuing Education office and belonged to the Holden Women’s Club. She and Joe spent many happy winters in Englewood, FL.

In 2014, they moved to Briarwood Senior Living Community in Worcester. Terry was a petite, perpetually active woman, who loved gardening, walking, swimming, going to the beach, playing tennis and golf and being outdoors. Dancing was a big passion,most recently to rap music at her granddaughter’s wedding in 2016.

She was an early and eager devotee of yoga which she practiced for 50 years; every morning began with stretching and exercising. Terry was very social, and loved playing bridge and poker; people truly enjoyed her company! Terry is survived by her husband Joe of Worcester, her daughter Deborah and husband Jim Newman of Woods Hole, MA, her daughter Sandy and husband Bill Mott of Holden, MA, her daughter Lynne and husband Jim Saucier of Cumberland, ME, her son David and wife Lorie of New York City and her sister Annette Gautreaux of Pawtucket, RI.

Terry leaves behind ten beloved grandchildren: Jason, Erica, Shelby, Emily, Jamie, Peter, Alexandra, Oliver, Sam and Celeste and one great-grandson, Jacob, whom Terry recently labeled “the star of the show! ” At Terry’s request, there will be no services.
