Theresa J. Shuster Formerly of Ambridge Theresa J. Shuster 87, Sewickley, formerly of Ambridge, died on Saturday, May 18, 2019, at Allegheny General Hospital. Born January 4, 1932, in Johnstown Pa. , a daughter of the late Frank and Mary Ocipa Baum.

She formerly worked at National Electric, the Ambridge School District and Rhodes Bus Company. She was a member of the St. Marys Byzantine Catholic Church. She was a 55-year member of the Ambridge Eagles Ladies Auxiliary, where she served as Chaplain.

Theresa was also a member of the Greek Catholic Union, the St Marys Pierogi Project and a former volunteer for the Sewickley Valley Hospital Cardiac Unit. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Shuster, Sr., November 10, 2001; a brother, Frank Baum Jr.; one sister, Gizzy Robovsky and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Larson. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, John “Jay” and Patty Shuster, Ambridge and Frank M. and Candace Shuster, Monaca; two daughters and son-in-law, Susan “Susie” and John Niaros, Harmony Twp.

and Mary Shillingburg, Ambridge; ten grandchildren, Tara (Brian) Roland, Lucas (Maria) Shuster, Nicole Slappo, R.J. (Andrea) Slappo, Jeremy Shuster, Nate Shuster, Ryan Gregorakis, Jason Gregorakis, Marissa Niaros and Dimitri Niaros; four great-grandchildren, Cassidy Roland, Ava Shuster, Layla Slappo and Jaxson Slappo; two sisters, Patty Laniewski and Betty Harasin, both of Ambridge; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law, Gene and Irene Shaffer, Wheatland, Pa. and Mike and Rita Shuster, Baden; one brother-in-law, Fred Larson, Big Run Pa. ; one sister-in-law, Norma Baum, Woodridge Ill.

and life-long friend, Marie Sudik, Sewickley. Friends will be received Wednesday, May 22, 2019, from 2 to 8 p.m. at BOHN-MATICH FUNERAL HOME INC. , 1099 Maplewood Avenue, Ambridge, where a service will be held on Thursday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Divine Liturgy for the repose of her soul at 10 a.m. at St. Marys Byzantine Catholic Church, with Father Thomas Schaefer officiating.

Interment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park. On Wednesday, the Ambridge Eagles Ladies Auxiliary will have a prayer service at 6 p.m. and a Panachida service will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
