Obituary of Theresa Burdyl Theresa V. Burdyl, age 99 of Halfmoon passed away into God’s hands on Wednesday, April 25, 2018. Born Theresa Veronica Anusesky on April 22, 1919 to loving parents John and Pearl Anusesky. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony Burdyl, and her son Jeffrey Burdyl.

She graduated Salutatorian of her high school class in 1937, highlighted by seeing Amelia Earhart in Albany. Theresa was a 1939 graduate of Cobleskill State College and worked at General Electric and the Extension Service in Saratoga, before settling into farm life and having her two sons. Theresa was a gracious lady, who enjoyed gardening, horse racing, and shopping.

She always had a penchant for stylish and whimsical hats. She was an enthusiastic member of the Women’s Club of Valley Falls for many years and had a vivacious energy for all she met and befriended. She and her husband were Friends of Saratoga National Park and attended the graduations of both of her sons from Cornell University in the 1970’s.

She is survived by her youngest son, Mark Burdyl of Latham. In keeping with Theresa’s request, all funeral services will be private. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Stillwater.

Flowers may be sent to the funeral home on Monday or donations may be made in hermemory the Clifton Park/Halfmoon Emergency Corps, P.O. Box 1469, Clifton Park, NY 12065.
