Lorain – Thomas “Tom” Blakley, 72, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019 at his home. He was born in Struthers, OH on January 14, 1947 and moved to Lorain as a young boy where he resided. Tom graduated from Admiral King High School in Lorain.

He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Elyria where he volunteered as Youth Athletic Director for 20 years. Tom worked in purchasing for 44 years at USS Steel and 6 years at PC Campana. He enjoyed drag racing, softball, bowling and coaching his daughter’s basketball team.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years of marriage, Cindy Blakley; daughters, Kelly Gusky and Katie (Steven) Figueroa; grandchildren, Gracie, Sophia and Vinny Figueroa; and sister, Joni Molinari. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam T. and Rita E. (nee Smith) Blakley; son-in-law, Christopher J. Gusky; sister, Barbara Palermo; brother, Gary Blakley; and grandsons, Luca and Blake Gusky. The family will receive friends at Reidy-Scanlan-Giovannazzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2150 Broadway, Lorain (440) 244-1961 on Sunday, March 10, 2019 from 2:00 – 6:00 PM.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, March 11, 2019 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 41295 N. Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH (meet at church on Monday). Christian burial services will follow Mass at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Twp, OH. Online condolences and gifts of sympathy may be shared with the family by using www.
