Thomas Crago October 31, 1937 – May 25, 2019 Thomas R. Crago, 81, of Niagara Falls, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2019 under the care of Niagara Hospice at home. He was born October 31, 1937 to James and Evelyn (Roberts) Crago in Cleveland, Ohio. He attended schools in Pennsylvania and graduated from Philipsburg High School.

He eloped with Eleanor Mae Shaw to be married on August 22, 1956 in Hagerstown, Maryland. They were happily married for 45 years until her passing in 2000. He retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber after 42 years of service.

He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge, was an avid bowler, hunter and he enjoyed casinos. Mr. Crago is survived by four daughters: Susan (Fred) Vitagliano, Patti (Tom) Crago – Piernik, Beverly Fields and JoAnn (Fran) Delles, his special companion of 15 years, Helen Webb, four grandchildren, Bobby Vitagliano; Eleanor (Nick) Gleason; Beverly Fields and Tommi-Lynne Piernik and great-granddaughter Nikki Newell. He is also survived by 9 step grandchildren: Jackie (Irv) Lennert, Jennifer Vitagliano, Freddie Vitagliano, Miquel (Paul) Budd, Angeline Fields, Debbie Fields, Alma Fields, Charles (Leslie) Fields, Gemma Budd, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife he was predeceased by his special aunt, Odessa. The family will be present Wednesday from 3-8 PM in the LANE FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 8622 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 AM in the funeral home. The interment will be in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston. Memorials, if desired, may be made to Niagara Hospice or Colonial Village Presbyterian Church.
