Thomas Douglas “Pappo” passed away at age 70 surrounded by family after a long fought battle with cancer. He was the beloved husband of Maryanne nee Lippner for 38 years; dear brother of James (Christine), the late John (Susan) and the late Mary Anne Porterfield; proud father of Tara Longley, Todd, Doug (Nicole), Thomas (Jennifer), Kevin (Jackie), James, Michael, & Daniel; loving grandfather of Joey, Maddie, Melody, Brooklyn, Callie, Natalie and Lucille; and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. He will be remembered as an understanding, light-hearted man who loved his home projects, cars, fishing, football, and most of all, spending time with family.

Visitation will be held Saturday February 2nd at Maher Funeral Home, 17101 71st Ave, Tinley Park, IL 60477. Visitation will begin at 3:00 p.m and include a Funeral Service at 7:30 p.m. Please contact (708) 781-9212 if further information is needed.
