Thomas J Brodrick Jr , October 08, 1937 — December 14, 2018

Thomas J. Brodrick, Jr. Of Turtle Creek, age 81, died on Friday December 14, 2018 surrounded by his loving family and friends. Tom was born October 8, 1937 to the late Thomas Joseph and Catherine (McWilliams) Brodrick of Turtle Creek. Tom will be greatly missed by his devoted wife of 45 years, Karen (Alexander) Brodrick, his treasured daughters, Kelley (Kevin) Kelley of Turtle Creek and Kera Rocco of North Versailles and his cherished granddaughter, Layla Rocco.

Tom was preceded in death by his siblings, Eileen (late Harry) Rohrbacher, Kathleen (late Larry) Addy, Anna Mae (late Jack) Manclark, Dorothy (late Jack) Butler, Evelyn (late George) Cifra and William (surviving spouse, Joanne) Brodrick. Tom was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired employee of USSteel with 37 years of service. During his life, Tom was an exemplary community volunteer.

He had served as a volunteer and President of the Turtle Creek Rescue 2 and was a Gold Card Life Member of the Turtle Creek Volunteer Fire Department. Tom had also served Turtle Creek as a Mayor, Council Member and Auditor and he was a longtime member and Immediate Past President of the A.O.H. , Division 17 in Monroeville. Friends are welcome on Sunday from 2-6pm, and Monday from 2-8pm at Patrick T. Lanigan Funeral Home and Crematory, Turtle Creek/Monroeville Chapel, 1111 Monroeville Ave.

at James St., Turtle Creek 412-823-9350. Mass of Christian Burial will be in St. Colman Church on Tuesday at 10 a.m., followed by a Presentation of Military Honors. Tom will be laid to rest privately by his family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Turtle Creek Fire Department, 125 Monroeville ave. , Turtle Creek, Pa. 15145.

Tom’s family extends deep thanks to the entire staff of LGAR for the care given to Tom.
