Thomas J. Martin VAN WERT — Thomas J. Martin, 65, of Van Wert died 1:55 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at Van Wert County Hospital. He was born June 8, 1953 in Lackey, Kentucky to Curtis J and Maxine (Bolen) Martin. His father is deceased and his mother survives in Ottawa.

On June 9, 1992 he married Tammy Lintermoot, who survives in Van Wert. Also surviving are 4 children: Brian Martin of New York, Scott Martin of Tennessee, Lindsay Temple of Bryan, and Jordan Lautzenheiser of Van Wert; 4 grandchildren: Lydia Ann Marie Temple of Bryan, Isabel Rose Lautzenheiser, Tyler and Jared Lautzenheiser, all of Van Wert. Tom retired from Federal Mogul of Van Wert and was a member of the National Bass Master Association, NRA, and Tri State Gun Collectors.

He was an devoted bass fisherman and loved to hunt. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at HEITMEYER FUNERAL HOME, OTTAWA with Rev. Denny Coates officiating.

Visitation will be from 12:00 until 2:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial donations may be given to Donors choice.
