Mr. Thomas Jim Byers, 66 of Fayetteville passed away on Friday, November 30, 2018. He was preceded in death by his mother Ingeberg Vera Byers, his father Max Janow, and his step-father Joseph Byers. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Susan P. Byers; his son, Thomas Jim Byers, II and friend, Jocelyn of Morrisville; his daughter, Christina Marie Byers of Fayetteville; his step-daughter, Janice Bennett and husband, Shane of Dover, Fla.

; two step-sons, Carroll Herndon and wife, Elizabeth of Cary and Larry Stephen French, II and wife, Sabrina of Middletown, Conn. ; his sister, Tonya Byers of Godwin; his brother, Max Janow Jr. of Cookeville, Tenn. ; and nine grandchildren, PVT Kyrsten Marie Byers, Thomas Jim Byers III, Jerry Cummings II, Ella Marie Byers, Riley Nicole Byers, Jenna Bennett, PVT Trevor Bennett, Larry French, III and Lacy Marie French.

He was a Finance Officer at Lafayette Ford until he retired and was an avid bowler. Tom was loved by many and will be missed by all whose lives he touched. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in Rogers and Breece Chapel with Rev.

John Blackman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The Byers would like to thank Cape Fear Valley Hospice for their love and support during this difficult time.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Cape Fear Valley Hospice, your favorite charity or through helping a family less fortunate during this holiday season.
